This involves changing the installation order of some items, like the .NET Framework that needs to be installed before SQL. This is for the installer of a "fresh" v3.2.1.

Subsequently we need to deal with upgrade steps. It may be worth investigating an installation sequence where we use an MSI / Visual Studio Installer Project to install .NET, SQL Express and then run our own bootstrapping process: check existence of SQL Express, DB, appropriate version of schema, etc. and then take actions with minimal user input. This is still under discussion so to keep the disruption to the team at a minimum, we first need to adapt the NSIS installer to take on SQL Express, then we can investigate the MSI option.
Comments: ** Comment from web user: lynnlangit **
Another consideration is the possible use of SQL Server 2008 Express with Advanced Services (after it RTMs this summer). We won't wait for this release, to do the upgrade, however anyone working on the installer should be aware that the Z-team is evaluating 2008 for the inclusion of SSRS (without the IIS dependency).

CREATED TASK: Custom Reports

Several views of Work Item lists as well as custom SSRS reports are needed.
